Born on 6th March, 1955, at the village of Hatasahi, Jajpur Dist, Odisha, Prof. Dr. Keshab Chandra Dash, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., D.Litt., Acharya (M.A.), Parangata (M.A.), Ratna (M.A.), Diploma in German, French, Film Direction and Computer Programming, has established a tradition of excellence both as an outstanding scholar and a celebrated creative writer in Sanskrit. He has 40 books and a number of research papers and articles to his credit.
As a Teacher:
Prof.
Dash has started his career as a lecturer in 1980. Since then he has been attracting students for his excellent teaching. He has produced such good scholars who are now teachers in many schools,, colleges and Universities as well. Prof.
Dash is at present Senior Professor, Deptt. of Nayaya Darshan, Chairman,
P.G. Council and Director, Centre of Advanced Research in Sanskrit of
Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya, Shri Vihar, Puri, Odisha. In recent past 28 M.Phil. scholars, 16 Ph.D. scholars and more than 500 P.G. scholars have been awarded their degree under his active guidance. Now 150 P.G. students, 5 M.Phil. scholars, 10 Ph.D. and 3 D.Litt. scholars do pursue their study under his supervision.
Prof.
Dash Commands expertise in the areas of Indian Logic, Panini Grammar,
Computational Linguistics. Indian Philosophy and Modern Sanskrit
Literature. His excellence lies in the contribution to the fields of
computer studies relating to Sanskrit, stylistic innovation in modern Sanskrit Literature and advance methodology of research in Sanskrit. His approach is interdisciplinary as well as multidisciplinary.

His literary works suffuse with deep philosophy of life and aesthetic strength. For his literary contribution he has been honored with 20 Regional, National and International Awards.
